Nancy Wales oversees two entities within our agency. She is Program Manager for the specialty line of hospitality programs written in Oregon, as well manager of the firm’s Life & Health Division. Her responsibilities include management of the organizational process and related personnel for each of these insurance areas.
Prior to joining NWIA, Nancy resided in the Chicago area as a Regional Manager with Applied Systems, Inc. the leading insurance agency software program. During those years, she oversaw sales operations for fourteen Mid-West and Eastern states, plus four Canadian provinces. While employed by this company, she obtained her first industry designation, Associate of Agency Management (AAM).
Towards the end of 1997, Nancy made the decision to relocate back to the West Coast to be close to family members. Originally, she joined our agency as the IT Department Manager. However, she quickly transitioned into the management of the personal lines division and ultimately created the Life & Health Benefits Division.
During her years with NWIA, she has obtained two additional industry designations, Customer Service Insurance Representative (CISR) and the prestigious Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). Additionally, she made a personal decision to return to college. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree from USF in Public Administration in 2004.
Following the conclusion of her studies, Nancy moved to the small community of Cottage Grove, Oregon. This has proven to be an excellent location as it provides an effective travel route to meet with customers or company personnel who are domiciled throughout the Pacific Northwest region.
On a personal level, Nancy enjoys being on the Board of her community’s Rotary Club and is an active participant in several local non-profit groups. |
